Certified Instructor Program for Sendo-Ryu Karatedo

In order to be a certified instructor under the ISRKF banner, there are 2 options:

  • Must be a member of the ISRKF and must be at least a Nidan. The Nidan has to be obtained directly from the Headmaster, Kaicho Professor Emeric Arus/SOKE.
  • Must be an Ikkyu or Shodan in one of the following Karate styles: Shotokan, Wado-Ryu, Goju-Ryu, Kyokushinkai , or any other Okinawan style of Karate. The candidate must be enrolled as an individual member of the ISRKF.

The candidate for the instructor certificate must purchase the tape of Sendo-Ryu Karatedo (Approx. 1 hour 15 minutes long) which includes technical requirements from 9th Kyu to 2nd Kyu and many other Shodan, Nidan and Sandan requirements. The candidate must purchase the Sendo-Ryu Handbook. The candidate under the second option must have basic knowledge in Judo, Jujutsu, Aikido or Aikijujitsu.

After 1 and 1/2 year (That is considered a sufficient time for studying the Sendo-Ryu tape) the candidate must invite the Headmaster or a Hombu delegate to his Dojo for a short (4-6 day) seminar (Spring, summer or fall only) and airfare/transportation, accommodation and meals must be paid for by the candidate- OR - the candidate will travel to the main Hombu for a one week seminar. Upon termination of the seminar, the candidate can go for an examination for Shodan or Nidan depending upon his/her ability. After a successful examination, the candidate will receive a beautiful certificate (suitable for framing). A candidate who obtains the Shodan level will receive title of Assistant Instructor, but if the candidate obtains Nidan level, he/she will receive the Instructor title/ Sensei in Sendo-Ryu Karatedo.

The cost of the Certified Instructor Program is only $149.95 and includes the video, handbook, federation patch and the tee shirt of the Federation.

Prior to examination, the candidate must deposit the fee for the belt for which he/she is testing. After passing the exam successfully, the candidate will receive his/her diploma for the rank and the instructor title. In the case of exceptional karateka who can obtain Sandan, the candidate will receive the title of Tasshi (Expert)

The candidate must also pay the upcoming annual fee and try to disseminate diligently in the Sendo-Ryu Karatedo style.
